Golden Knights fan

There's nothing like your first NHL game, especially when that happens to be the same game your team wins the Stanley Cup.

An 80-year-old Vegas Golden Knights fan was surprised by social media creator Zachery Dereniowski with free tickets to see his favorite team win the Stanley Cup against the Florida Panthers on Tuesday.

Zachery, who posts acts of kindness under the handle "mdmotivator", approached John in the store asking if he was a Golden Knights fan and would like free merchandise

John, who said he has watched every Vegas game since 2018, happily accepted the Golden Knights swag saying that him and his wife, Charlyn, were actually going shopping that day to look for some.

Zachery then surprised John with a box that had $1,000 cash - which the unsuspecting fan thought was a hat - and he couldn't beleive the random act of kindess.

The surprises weren't done yet. As John was telling Zachery he would love to go the game, but would be watching it on TV, the TikTok creator pulled out a pair of Game 5 tickets to what would be John's first NHL game.

"Makes me cry. People don't give you things you know," John said in the video. "I always try to help when I can, but I'm limited with cash."

Of course the first person John wanted to call was his wife, who ran over to give Zachery a hug as soon as she arrived.

At the game, John and Charlyn dressed in their new Golden Knights gear, met Wayne Gretzky and watched their team hoist the Stanley Cup with giant smiles on their faces at T-Mobile Arena.

It's going to be hard to top the couple's first NHL game experience.
