Point scored his 50th at 10:47 to make it 3-0. He collected the rebound of Nikita Kucherov's initial shot, skated down past a sprawled out Husso, and scored a power-play goal near the right post.
"It's funny, when someone is going for a milestone, you stress pressing and you're forcing it to the guy and it never seems to work out," Point said. "This was just a broken play on the power play there, I got it in on the far side. It's very cool. Someday when I retire I'll look back on this season with very fond memories."
Point followed up his power-play goal by shooting into an empty net at 15:59 to push it to 4-0.
"He deserved that. He's done it so many different ways," Cooper said. "And I think, if I'm not mistaken, none of them were empty netters … expect for the last one. He's been the straw that's stirred the drink for this team pretty much all year."
Michael Eyssimont scored with 10 seconds remaining for the 5-0 final. It was his first goal in 15 games with the Lightning since being acquired from the San Jose Sharks on March 1.
"We took a bad penalty, then we got on the power play and didn't score, then we took another bad penalty and they scored," Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin said. "That seemed to be it. We feel we outplayed them in parts of the game but didn't capitalize on our chances."
NOTES:Hagel finished the season with an NHL career-high 30 goals. … Kucherov extended his point streak to six games (two goals, seven assists).
