      NYR@EDM: Oilers reitre Kevin Lowe's #4 jersey

Kevin Lowe always will have the memories of his legendary days with the Edmonton Oilers, and, of course, all those Stanley Cup rings. And after his jersey retirement ceremony Friday, he'll also have a beautiful painting of his iconic teammates to go along with them.

The Oilers presented Lowe with a painting of himself, Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Jari Kurri, Grant Fuhr, Paul Coffey and Glenn Anderson depicted in the Edmonton locker room, as they raised his No. 4 to the rafters at Rogers Place.
The ceremony was warm-up to Lowe's induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame on Nov. 15. He is the last of the seven to receive the honor.
"What's most special to me tonight is to be able to be standing before you with my family and my best friends, Craig MacTavish and Craig Simpson," Lowe said in his speech. "We've experienced so much together personally and professionally, all these years together."
Lowe, a defenseman, played 15 seasons in two stints with the Oilers and four seasons with the New York Rangers. He is a six-time Stanley Cup champion (five with Edmonton, one with New York). After his retirement in 1998, he coached the Oilers for one season, then went to their front office. He scored 431 points (84 goals, 431 points) in 1,254 regular-season NHL games and 58 points (10 goals, 48 assists) in 214 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
