The Panthers announced Wednesday that they have offered a name, image and likeness (NIL) contract to every eligible female athlete at FAU, located in nearby Boca Raton, Florida. More than 200 athletes will have the opportunity to enter the agreements with the team through their NIL partner, Dreamfield.
More than 200 athletes who belong to FAU's women's basketball, beach volleyball, golf, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, cross-country/track & field, volleyball and spirit programs are eligible for the contracts. Each athlete will be invited to attend Panthers hockey games and post about the team on social media.
The Panthers are the first professional sports team to sponsor an entire collegiate women's athletic program and were the first major professional sports team in the United States to create an NIL program for college athletes. King is a co-founder of Dreamfield, which books live events and creates marketing campaigns for college athletes.
