Whenever Gabriel Landeskog ends up returning to the Colorado Avalanche lineup, he may have a new moniker: Aquaman-deskog.

The captain of the 2022 Stanley Cup champions

from his rehab program following cartiledge replacement surgery on his right knee back in May.

While he is

while rehabbing, some of Landeskog's exercises are quite impressive, namely one where he crawls the length of a pool along its floor while clutching a pair of dumbbells.

Hard to say what is more impressive: the range of motion on his surgically repaired knee or the ability to hold his breath underwater for that long.

Some of the other clips include squats in the pool, walking toe raises and riding an exercise bike proving that if Landeskog ends up missing the entire upcoming season, it certainly will not be due to lack of trying.

Avalanche teammates were all over the comments with love for their captain.

"Cap leading by example no matter what!" wrote defenseman Devon Toews, echoing the chorus of praise.

The last time Landeskog played a NHL game was Game 6 of the 2022 Stanley Cup Final. He registered an assist in a 2-1 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning that clinched the title for the Avalanche.
