The Florida Panthers and Winnipeg Jets are participating in the 2018 NHL Global Series. They will play back-to-back games at Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland, on Thursday (2 p.m. ET; NBCSN, TSN3, NHL.TV) and Friday (2 p.m. ET; NHLN, TSN3, FS-F, NHL.TV).
Panthers forward Nick Bjugstad will detail his experiences on the trip in his own NHL.com blog. Here is Bjugstad's second entry:

HELSINKI --Now that we've been here for a couple of days, I feel like I'm getting adjusted to the time change.
We had the day off Monday. I woke up starving so I went to a breakfast spot. I just kind of walked around the city to see what they had going on. Snow was coming down. I like seeing snow every once in a while, so that was good.
I got up early, and I only got up because I was hungry. That forced me to get up and go get breakfast. I tried to stay up all day. I ended up having a good night's sleep, which was nice. Hopefully that continues the next few nights.
A few of the guys slept in. It was obviously a long flight and we're trying to get adjusted to this schedule as far as the time change. We just hung out.
Some guys went shopping and then a lot of us went out to dinner. Other than being in Helsinki, it really was nothing out of the ordinary. It was a pretty standard day, just an off day walking around. I think some of our trainers went to Estonia. We just kind of relaxed and got a little rest.
Aleksander Barkov used the off day to go visit his mom, which was awesome. It's nice he can see his family and friends here in Finland. That has to be pretty fun for him to do in the middle of the season. I'm sure he'll have a whole crew at our practice tomorrow and the games on Thursday and Friday. It should be exciting.
I have a Players' Association meeting after we wrap up practice here and I'm not sure what I'll do with the rest of the day.
My sister lives in the Netherlands and she's coming here, so I'll see her tonight. I'll get to spend a little time with her, so that'll be fun. She studied abroad in the Netherlands and she liked it, so she's been there ever since. Every time I come to Europe she tries to come out and watch. Obviously this is a perfect situation. It'll be nice to see her.
