The Florida Panthers gave Sergei Bobrovsky's a little taste of home while celebrating his 500th NHL game.
Bobrovsky reached the milestone last season, but with the season being paused due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Panthers waited until this season to celebrate. Each Panthers player wore a jersey with their last name spelled out with the Cyrillic alphabet and the number 500 on the back to honor the native of Novokuznetsk, Russia.

In honor of the milestone, Panthers teammates are sending Bobrovsky on a Tanzanian safari sometime in the future. Florida captain Alexander Barkov also presented Bobrovsky with a silver goalie stick. The team also played a video tribute for the goalie, which included highlights from his 11 NHL seasons.
