Kreider, Strome, Staal crash Rangers' call with nurses
Team arranged video chat; players invited health care workers to game

Three New York Rangers helped some essential workers briefly take their minds off the COVID-19 pandemic.
Forwards Chris Kreider and Ryan Strome, and defenseman Marc Staal crashed a call of New York nurses and Rangers fans to thank them for fighting coronavirus.
"Someday soon, when we're the ones in uniform, we can't wait to meet you and thank you in person."

The Rangers organized a call for four nurses to discuss how their lives have changed during the virus and also discuss their history as hockey fans.
Little did they know that the three Rangers players were waiting to jump in to voice their support. Strome also invited them to a future home game at Madison Square Garden.
"A lot of us feel really hopeless at times because you can't really do anything to help out," Strome said in the video. "But you guys are able to do that, and for that not just us, I think everyone is very appreciative."
