STARS, RED WINGS EARN OVERTIME WINS

The Stars and Detroit Red Wings each won in overtime to build on recent strings of success:
* Tyler Seguin scored a power-play goal 20 seconds into overtime as the Stars improved to 4-1-1 in their past six games. Seguin, who leads the Stars with 70 points (25 goals, 45 assists) this season, has reached the 70-point mark for the fourth consecutive season.
* The Red Wings overcame deficits of 1-0 and 2-1 before Andreas Athanasiou scored on a breakaway in overtime to power the Red Wings to a 4-1-1 record in their past six games. Jimmy Howard made 24 saves and improved to 13-3-3 in 19 career games against the Minnesota Wild.

EASTERN CONFERENCE WILD CARD RACE TAKES CENTER STAGE

The six-game slate Monday features three teams aiming to gain ground in the tightly contested race for the second wild card from the Eastern Conference:
