For the second straight week, the Florida Panthers are No. 1 in the Super 16. The Carolina Hurricanes, who were knocked out of the top spot by Florida last week, fell three to No. 5.
The Edmonton Oilers took the biggest fall, dropping six spots to No. 10.
To create the NHL.com power rankings, each of the 14 participating staff members put together his or her version of what they think it should look like. Those were submitted and a point total assigned to each.
The team that was selected No. 1 was given 16 points, No. 2 got 15, No. 3 received 14, and so on to No. 16, which got one point.
