NEW YORK --The National Hockey League, Hockey Hall of Fame and ALXMOBILE today announced the launch of the United by Hockey Mobile Museum, which celebrates hockey's trailblazers, changemakers and business leaders spanning multiple underrepresented and multicultural demographics.

Part of the NHL's Hockey Is For Everyone™ initiative, the mobile exhibit will debut this week at the Truly Hard Seltzer NHL All-Star Beach Festival™ at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park from Thursday, Feb. 2 - Saturday, Feb. 4. The free, non-ticketed fan festival is open to the public throughout the 2023 Honda NHL® All-Star Weekend®.

"Each year we challenge ourselves to create new opportunities to celebrate the diversity within our game," said Jeff Scott, NHL Vice President, Community Development & Growth. "Our re-envisioned, professionally curated United by Hockey Mobile Museum showcases many of the individuals who have blazed new trails and those who continue to influence our game, our business and our commitment to ensuring that Hockey Is For Everyone™."

NHL.com's William Douglas recently caught up with Scott to talk about the creation of the new experience. Check out the story, here.

Beginning in Florida, the exhibition is planning to visit all 32 NHL markets and ancillary locations between February - June 2023, including visiting the 2023 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh, N.C., on Feb. 18.

The traveling museum is a unique experience that showcases 840 square feet of history, including exclusive artifacts from players from an array of backgrounds; video components; an interactive broadcast booth; and a look at the next generation of young stars, NHL Officials, broadcasters and women in the game. The museum also features one-of-a-kind hockey card collections from collectors across North America, highlighting players from underrepresented demographics.

The expansion and redesign from the original Black Hockey History Tour was professionally curated by multidisciplinary designer Natalie Zanecchia, who specializes in storytelling to create interpretive exhibition design and brand experiences.

Zanecchia shares her vision for the visitors' experience: "As soon as guests enter the exhibit, they will be met with a tapestry of faces, names and artifacts of individuals who made, or are making, an impact on the sport. The journey starts with trailblazers, who paved the way for others, and ends with current changemakers. The objective is that everyone will leave this experience with more awareness on the diversity of the sport and more recognition of the names of the individuals highlighted, and that they will feel inspired to continue sharing these stories."

The exhibit includes unique artifacts from featured players, such as Herb Carnegie's original "Pass and Shoot" game, as well as items borrowed from the Hockey Hall of Fame's extensive collection, including game-worn jerseys, National team equipment, an Olympic medal and the biography of trailblazer Fred Sasakamoose.

In the interactive broadcast booth, fans will have the opportunity to test their broadcast skills and hockey knowledge against former player and current on-air personality Kevin Weekes.
