Jon Merrill didn't win the Stanley Cup, but making a surprise return to his daughters was a pretty good consolation prize.
The Vegas Golden Knights defenseman was mobbed by his daughters Olive, Lennon and Jolie upon his return from the Edmonton bubble after his team was defeated by the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Final.

The Golden Knights were eliminated 3-2 in overtime in Game 5 on Monday. Merrill's wife Jess shared video of the girls mobbing their dad in the family's garage on Twitter on Tuesday. The adorable video went viral as the girls were moved to tears after seeing their dad for the first time in almost two months. It also led to this priceless exchange between Merrill and his middle daughter. "Did you win?" Olive asked. No," Jon responded, "but I'm home." The video of the Merrills was the cutest NHL player return home since Oskar Lindblom's dog welcomed him back to Sweden after the Philadelphia Flyers were eliminated in the Eastern Conference Second Round.
