As we look back on the 2019-20 season during the pause, it's hard to miss some of the top highlights that the Vegas Golden Knights have added to the team's already long reel.
Today we turn the clock back to Nov. 23 when the Golden Knights hosted the Edmonton Oilers. It was during the second period of that game that Shea Theodore put on a show that turned heads in the arena and around the hockey world.

EDM@VGK: Theodore dekes, wires wrister home from slot

Analysis from VGK Color Analyst Shane Hnidy
There are so many great things to look at on Shea Theodore's goal against Edmonton. We always look at him as an elite offensive defenseman and he's still only 24-years-old and growing.
This whole goal starts with a defensive play in the neutral zone. It's a stretch pass from Adam Larsson of the Edmonton Oilers. Theodore shows awareness with positioning in the neutral zone and his anticipation to cut the pass off. Then, it's his skating ability to take that puck and turn it from a defensive situation, take the pass away, and go on the attack full speed.
He catches a bad gap from the Oilers' top pairing of Oscar Klefbom and Larsson and as he moves into the zone, they give him way too much time and space. He uses a great little fake shot as he comes in. Then, it's about his mobility and his edge work as he comes in, fakes the shot, cuts back and then has a great finish with the shot as he beats Mike Smith. That goal is fantastic in so many ways, but it all starts with his defensive awareness. Then, he uses his elite offensive skills to go in and score on outstanding, highlight-reel goal.
