Community Grants

The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) Community Grants program provides funding to organizations that are aligned to our investment focus or support an emergent need in the community.

The Community Grants program is a great way for the EOCF to get to know your organization and learn about exciting and impactful projects that you are undertaking to support the community. Some of our biggest investments have started through the grant process so we highly encourage eligible groups to apply.

Applications for Community Grants are now open.

For the 2024-25 season, there will be two application cycles:

  • October 1 to January 30
  • March 3 to May 15

50/50 Program

We are proud to work with some of our longstanding community partners on the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation 50/50 program, presented by Rogers, as we continue to build year over year towards a shared impact. Partners for this program are strategically selected based on several considerations, including:

  • Specific raffle themes (e.x. Kids of Oil Country, Animals of Oil Country, Feeding Oil Country, etc.)
  • National Hockey League initiatives (e.x. Hockey Fights Cancer, Hockey Talks)
  • Emerging needs in the community
  • Connection to Oilers players
  • Corporate partnerships
  • Alignment with EOCF priorities

We work with our partners to develop extensive MOUs to help ensure the success of the program, maximizing community impact. Many of our 50/50 partners emerged from the Community Grant process.

Community Spotlight

The Oilers Community Spotlight Program is a unique way for non-profit organizations to fundraise and raise awareness for the work they do in the community. With over 18,000 Oilers fans in attendance, you will have a unique opportunity to have a booth on the concourse to showcase your organization and interact with thousands in attendance.

Chuck-a-Puck

Take part in the Edmonton Oil Kings Chuck-a-Puck to raise funds and awareness for your group. As part of this program, you will get a booth at an Oil Kings game to showcase your cause and sell foam pucks to fans in attendance. At the end of the game, fans throw their pucks onto the ice and the fan whose puck is closest to centre ice with win $250. Proceeds of all puck sales benefit your group.
