Tonight, Tuesday, January 22, 2019, as the Oilers take on the Detroit Red Wings, Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) will host more than 250 members of the oil and gas industry and their families to show support for the individuals and communities who are facing challenges because of the obstacles the industry is currently encountering and raise awareness about the positive, national impact of the sector.
Members of the energy sector and their families have also been invited to a pre-game event to enjoy some hospitality and a brief program before the game, alongside members of Canada Action.
Tonight's game will kick off with a special on-ice celebration of OEG's guests and the oil and gas industry.
"Oilers Entertainment Group and the Edmonton Oilers have a strong connection to the energy sector, and we are proud of our steadfast relationship with the industry," said Oilers Entertainment Group CEO & Vice Chair Bob Nicholson. We understand that they are going through a tough time right now, and we recognize how important they are to the economy and livelihoods in Alberta and throughout Canada.
