Bryan McCabe was promoted to the Florida Panthers Director of Player Personnel on June 14, 2017 after previously serving as the club's Director of Player Development for five seasons.
McCabe played in 1,135 NHL contests, with 528 points (145-383-528) and 1,732 PIM. Over his career, the All-Star defenseman competed for the New York Islanders (1995-98), Vancouver Canucks (1998-99), Chicago Blackhawks (1999-00), Toronto Maple Leafs (2000-08), Florida Panthers (2008-11) and New York Rangers (2011).
During his playing career in Florida, McCabe served as the sixth captain in franchise history and skated in his 1,000th NHL game.
On the international stage of his career, the native of Calgary, Alberta, won gold with Canada at the 1997 IIHF World Championship, 1995 and 1996 IIHF World Junior Championships and 1992 Pacific Cup. McCabe represented Canada at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin, Italy.
McCabe and his wife Roberta have two daughters, Stevie and Jocelyn, and a son Linkin.
