Les Jackson was named senior advisor to the general manager in September of 2023 after having spent the previous three seasons as a professional scout for the Florida Panthers.
Before helping the Panthers capture the organization’s first Stanley Cup in 2023-24, he spent 32 seasons with the Dallas Stars/Minnesota North Stars franchise, serving in a multitude of hockey operations roles including co-general manager.
A Manning, Alberta, native, Jackson was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the fourth round (64th overall) of the 1972 NHL Draft. He played several seasons of minor league hockey before moving to coaching, including stints with the Tucson Icemen (IHL) and Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL). In Brandon, he also served as general manager for three seasons before joining the North Stars organization.
