Good morning and welcome to "Cats & Coffee," a weekly segment, presented by Koffee Kult, in which we serve up an exciting look at what's on deck for your Florida Panthers. Like our friends at Koffee Kult, this forecast serves up only the best -- so sit back, sip and enjoy our latest brew of news, notes and information.

The Florida Panthers have a big week ahead of them.

After dropping Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Qualifiers to the New York Islanders, the Panthers will look to rebound quickly when they re-take the ice for Games 2 and 3 of the series on back-to-back afternoons at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

Both games will begin at noon and can be found on FOX Sports Florida and FOX Sports GO.

"We did what we wanted to do in a lot of ways," Panthers coach Joel Quenneville said following the loss in Game 1. "We're in a tough spot, but let's be excited about going into the next game."

In the opening tilt of the best-of-five series, Sergei Bobrovsky turned aside 26 of 28 shots - including several highlight-reel saves -- as the Panthers fell by a score of 2-1 to the Islanders.

"Overall, I think it was a pretty good game," Bobrovsky said. "It's a long series. It's best of five. We have to build up from it. We know the Islanders like those types of games - tight defensively, 2-1 is their score… We're going to have a couple meetings coming up in the [next] two days. The coaches will make some adjustments and we'll get back to work."

Coming on strong late in the game, Jonathan Huberdeau lit the lamp 22 seconds into the third period to get the Panthers on the board and cut their deficit down to 2-1. Making history in the process, the goal was the fastest ever by a Panthers player to start a period in the postseason.

Over the final two periods, Florida owned a 19-17 advantage in shots over New York.

"The second half of the game we were a good team," Huberdeau. "I think we've just got to keep doing that. We've got two days until Game 2 and need to come back as hard as we finished."

Heading into essentially a must-win matchup against the Islanders in Game 2 on Tuesday, Quenneville said the Cats could make some lineup changes in order to spark their offense.

"You always talk about what's going to give you your best lineup or what you think might give you your best chance of winning, so we talk about it," the three-time Stanley Cup winning bench boss said on Sunday. "We're continuing to talk about it as well. We'll see how we go into practice tomorrow or in the game as well. We're looking at some ideas."

If necessary, Games 4 and 5 of the series will occur on Thursday and Sunday, respectively.

EPISODE 5 OF "PANTHERS UNCAGED"

"Panthers Uncaged" is finally about to leave the Panthers IceDen.

On Wednesday, the fifth installment of the new docuseries will be released on Florida's official Facebook, IGTV, PanthersVision and YouTube pages. That same day, fans can also watch the show locally on FOX Sports Florida both before and after Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Qualifiers.

"You're getting a flavor from a different look in different ways," Panthers coach Joel Quenneville said of the series. "From a fan's perspective, I'm sure it's interesting. From our point of view, we're just going about our business as we always do, albeit in a different fashion right now."

An all-access series highlighting the team's return to the ice following a three-month lockdown due to the coronavirus, Episode 5 of "Panthers Uncaged" will focus on the club's final few days of training camp before finally heading up to Toronto to participate in the Stanley Cup Qualifiers.

From saying goodbye to loved ones to last-minute packing, this episode will touch on it all.
