SUNRISE, Fla. - The Florida Panthers announced today additional theme nights for the 2020-21 regular season at BB&T Center.

Prior to the NHL's pause to the 2019-20 season, Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky played in his 500th NHL game on Feb. 11, 2020 against the Philadelphia Flyers. Upon reaching the milestone, the native of Novokuznetsk, Russia, became the third-ever Russian-born goaltender in NHL history to reach 500 NHL games played. The Panthers will honor Bobrovsky's accomplishment with a pregame ceremony prior to the club's game on Saturday, April 3, against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The two-time Vezina Trophy winner has appeared in 528 career NHL games for Florida (2019-20 to 2020-21), Columbus (2012-13 to 2018-19) and the Philadelphia Flyers (2010-11 to 2011-12), owning a career record of 292-177-45 while posting a .917 save percentage, 2.55 goals against average and 34 shutouts.
The Panthers will host Kids Day presented by Broward Health at BB&T Center on Sunday, April 4 when the Panthers host the Columbus Blue Jackets at 5 p.m. ET. Fans are encouraged to bring school supplies to the JetBlue Tarmac prior to the game as part of the School Supply Drive in partnership with City of Fort Lauderdale, Rotary Club of Fort Lauderdale and Twin Peaks. These school supplies will go to families facing homelessness in the Fort Lauderdale area.
On Monday, April 19 the Panthers and Baptist Health South Florida will host 'Wear a Mask' Night at BB&T Center. All fans in attendance will receive a cobranded mask. Panthers goaltender Chris Driedger will wear a special helmet during warm-ups that features Baptist Health frontline workers and pays tribute to those on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fans are encouraged to wear purple and celebrate Hockey Fights Cancer Night presented by Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center on Saturday, April 24 when the Panthers host the Carolina Hurricanes. Panthers players will wear purple Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys during warm-ups and these jerseys will be available at FlaTeamShop.com postgame. The first 1,500 fans in the building will receive a purple rally towel courtesy of Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and 'I Fight For' cards will be available at socially distant table for fans to fill out and use throughout the night. The Panthers Foundation will present Sylvester with a $25,000 check presentation as we honor their leading cancer research.
Saturday, May 8, the team will wear the Reverse Retros for the final time this regular season.
Unveiled
in November of 2020, the team's crest is featured front and center, while palm tree graphics on the shoulders and pointed sleeve stripes add considerable design details that nod to the South Florida region. The "96" on the collar honors the Florida Panthers 1996 team who reached the Stanley Cup Final in only their third season in the National Hockey League.
