SUNRISE, Fla. - The Florida Panthers announced today that the club has partnered with Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of the University of Miami Health System, to present Hockey Fights Cancer Night on Saturday, Nov. 16 when the Panthers host the New York Rangers at 7 p.m. Sylvester is the only cancer center in South Florida to achieve National Cancer Institute designation.

A first-time meeting between a bone marrow donor and the recipient treated at Sylvester, is being hosted by the Panthers at BB&T Center prior to that Saturday's game.
The Panthers will have the bone marrow donor and recipient along with Dr. Krishna Komanduri, Chief of the Division of Transplantation and Cellular Therapy at Sylvester drop the puck Saturday night.

"They are the premier cancer research institution in South Florida and we hope this night will help raise awareness and funds to support cancer research."
During the game, Panthers coaches and broadcasters will wear tokens to raise awareness for Hockey Fights Cancer. Fans are encouraged to fill out cards inside BB&T Center that night. Cards will be located at the Foundation table outside of Club Lexus for fans to fill out. The first 10,000 fans at BB&T Center will receive a rally towel courtesy of Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The Panthers will also be selling Hockey Fights Cancer pins in Pantherland and at the Foundation table outside of Club Lexus for $10 with all proceeds benefitting the Florida Panthers Foundation.
