First to be recognized as part of the Panthers '28 Days of Black Excellence' is Urban League Broward President & CEO Dr. Germaine Smith-Baugh. Currently the only female CEO of an Urban League affiliate in Florida, Dr. Smith-Baugh is on a task force committed to bring racial equality training to CEOs in Broward County. On Thursday, February 24th, the Panthers will recognize '28 Days of Black Excellence' honorees during the team's Black History Night at FLA Live Arena. Fans in attendance can also enjoy pregame and intermission performances by the Florida Memorial Marching Band and National Panhellenic Council (NPHC) Divine Nine Step Teams, as well as a special national anthem performance by South Florida's premier saxophonist, Jon Saxx, before the Panthers face off against the Columbus Blue Jackets at 7 p.m. ET.

Black Hockey History Tour
bus will stop in South Florida on March 7 & 8 for the community to enjoy. The mobile museum celebrates black achievement in the game of hockey and showcases today's stars while also looking back at the pioneers and trailblazers who helped shape NHL history.
