SUNRISE, Fla. - With a 5-3 win against the Buffalo Sabres today at KeyBank Center the Florida Panthers have officially clinched a berth in the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
During Florida's win, forward Jonathan Huberdeau recorded his 97th point of the season (24-73-97), surpassing Aleksander Barkov's single-season franchise points record from 2018-19. The victory marked Florida's 48th win of the season (48-15-6), establishing a new franchise record for wins in a season.

Florida's playoff berth will be the club's third consecutive postseason appearance, the first time in franchise history that the Panthers have made the postseason in three straight seasons. It also marks the club's eighth postseason appearance. Florida becomes the first team to clinch a playoff spot this season, the first time in franchise history that the Panthers have been the first team to clinch a playoff spot.
