Panthers fans and mustache enthusiasts across the globe are encouraged to participate in this virtual run and contribute to the cause by raising awareness on social media platforms.
"The Stache Dash is a way to bring fans together for an important cause this November " said Florida Panthers Chief Commercial Officer Shawn Thornton. "As a leader of cancer research and treatment in the community, we knew Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center would be the best partner to raise awareness and funds for men's health through this race."
"We're pleased to partner with the Florida Panthers on this event," said Stephen D. Nimer, M.D., director of Sylvester, the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in South Florida. "A key factor around men's health and cancer starts with conversations around screening and early detection. As the cancer leader in the region, we want to take an active role in educating our patients and the community."

About Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center
Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of UHealth - the University of Miami Health System and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, is the only cancer center in South Florida designated by the National Cancer Institute. NCI designation recognizes that Sylvester has met the most rigorous standards for cancer research, beginning in our laboratories, extending to patient care and meeting specific needs in our community. Sylvester is known as South Florida's leader in patient-focused cancer research and care, offering the only Phase 1 clinical trials program - the first step in evaluating how patients respond to the latest investigational treatments. NCI designation further expands Sylvester's ability to provide access to novel therapies through more clinical trials and collaboration with other designated centers. Equipped with a highly qualified team of more than 300 cancer-focused physicians and researchers working together, Sylvester discovers, develops and delivers more precision cancer care. To serve current and future patients, Sylvester has a network of conveniently located outpatient treatment facilities in Miami, Coral Gables, Coral Springs, Kendall, Hollywood, Plantation, and Deerfield Beach.
