SUNRISE, Fla. -The Florida Panthers announced today that the club's practice facility, the Florida Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs, Fla., will serve as the host site for the 2022 Liberty Bell Games for the second year in a row. The boys tournament will be held Friday, June 17 through Sunday, June 19, 2022.
"We are proud to once again host the Liberty Bell Games showcase," said Panthers IceDen General Manager A.J. Congero. "The Florida Panthers have shown that they are dedicated to the development of youth hockey in South Florida and this tournament allows for these boys to perform against high-level talent from around the southeastern United States."
The Liberty Bell Games is the premier youth hockey showcase for 14- to 17-year-old players who play/and or live in Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, and Texas.
Sanctioned by USA Hockey, the Liberty Bell Games is designed to scout and evaluate elite youth hockey talent playing among the best competition in their age group.
"We at the Liberty Bell Games are delighted to be back for the second year in a row," said President and CEO of the Liberty Bell Games Lew Mongelluzzo. "The Southeastern District and the greater Florida area has a great deal of talent and we are glad to be able to provide a platform for these players to be able to showcase their skills and talent in front of an audience of scouts and coaches from throughout the country, while at the same time getting them the exposure and recognition they deserve. Without the Florida Panthers support none of this would be possible and for that I want to thank them personally."
