About 'Rally the Vote' Coalition
'Rally the Vote' is a nonpartisan coalition formed to increase civic engagement by leveraging professional sports team platforms. 'Rally the Vote' is a formal campaign of 'When We All Vote', combining the nonprofit's educational resources and voter registration technology with the Sacramento Kings' robust professional sports network and coalition-building experience. The coalition was originally launched by the Kings on Sept. 25, 2018 (National Voter Registration Day) marking the first time sports franchises from different leagues had come together to provide fans with a seamless way to register to vote. In 2018, the nine-team effort reached millions of people online and registered thousands of voters in the weeks leading up to the midterm elections.
