SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers General Manager Bill Zito announced today that the club has re-signed defenseman Noah Juulsen to a one-year, two-way contract.
Juulsen, 24, appeared in four games with Florida in 2020-21, registering nine hits and five shots. He also played in five games with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League (AHL), posting one assist.
The 6-foot-2, 201-pound native of Surrey, British Columbia has appeared in 48 career National Hockey League games with Florida (2020-21) and the Montreal Canadiens (2017-18 to 2018-19), producing eight points (2-6-8). He has played in 52 career AHL games with Syracuse (2020-21) and the Laval Rocket (2017-18 to 2019-20), registering 10 points (1-9-10).
Prior to his professional career, Juulsen was a two-time Western Hockey League (WHL) All-Star and registered 124 points (30-94-124) over 240 career WHL regular season games with the Everett Silvertips (2012-13 to 2016-17).
On the international stage, Juulsen won a Silver Medal with Canada at the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship, recording two assists over seven games.
Acquired off waivers from Montreal on Jan. 11, 2021, Juulsen was originally selected by the Canadiens in the first round (26th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.
