SUNRISE, Fla. -Florida Panthers General Manager Bill Zito announced today that the club has re-signed forward Juho Lammikko to a one-year contract.
"Juho consistently contributed heart, passion and grit to our lineup," said Zito. "We're excited to have him return to strengthen our forward group in 2021-22."
Lammikko, 25, appeared in 44 regular season games with Florida in 2020-21, recording five points (4-1-5) and 50 hits. He also skated in 22 games with Magnitogorsk Metallurg of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), producing eight points (6-2-8).
The 6-foot-2, 191-pound native of Noormarkku, Finland has played in 84 career NHL games with Florida (2018-19 and 2020-21), producing 11 points (4-7-11), 95 hits and 37 blocked shots.
Lammikko has played in 143 career American Hockey League (AHL) regular season games with the Springfield Thunderbirds (2016-17 to 2018-19) and Portland Pirates (2015-16), amassing 57 points (20-37-57).
Prior to his professional career, Lammikko played two seasons for the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) from 2014-15 to 2015-16, producing 99 points (40-59-99) over 123 games.
On the international stage, Lammikko won Gold Medals with Finland at the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship and the 2019 IIHF World Championship.
Lammikko was originally selected by Florida in the third round (65th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
