SUNRISE, Fla. -Florida Panthers General Manager Bill Zito announced today that the club has reassigned forward Scott Wilson to Florida's Taxi Squad from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Wilson, 28, appeared in six games with the Buffalo Sabres in 2019-20, recording two points (1-1-2). The 5-foot-11, 177-pound native of Oakville, Ontario, recorded 22 points (11-11-22) over 37 AHL games with the Rochester Americans (AHL).
Originally selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the seventh round (209th overall) of the 2011 National Hockey League Draft, Wilson has played 193 career regular season NHL games for Buffalo (2018-19 to 2019-20), Detroit Red Wings (2017-18) and Pittsburgh (2014-15 to 2017-18). Wilson won the Stanley Cup with Pittsburgh in 2017.
Additionally, Florida has recalled forward Mason Marchment from Florida's Taxi Squad.
Marchment, 25, appeared in four games with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2019-20, recording one assist. The 6-foot-4, 209-pound native of Uxbridge, Ontario, played in 30 AHL games in 2019-20 with the Toronto Marlies and Springfield Thunderbirds, posting 20 points (13-7-20).
Undrafted, Marchment has played in 130 career AHL games, producing 72 points (38-34-72) and won the 2018 Calder Cup with the Marlies. The Panthers acquired Marchment from Toronto on Feb. 19, 2020 in exchange for forward Denis Malgin.
