SUNRISE, Fla. -Florida Panthers General Manager Bill Zitoannounced today that the club has recalled forward Mason Marchment and defenseman Kevin Connauton from Florida's Taxi Squad to the Panthers active roster.
Marchment, 25, has played in one game this season, making his debut with Florida on Feb. 7 against the Detroit Red Wings.
Undrafted, the 6-foot-4, 209-pound native of Uxbridge, Ontario, has played in five career National Hockey League games for Florida (2020-21) and the Toronto Maple Leafs (2019-20).
Connauton, 31, appeared in four games in the 2019-20 season for the Colorado Avalanche. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound native of Edmonton, Alberta, also played 38 American Hockey League (AHL) games for the Colorado Eagles.
Originally selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the third round (83rd overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft, Connauton has appeared in 314 career NHL games for the Colorado Avalanche (2019-20), Arizona Coyotes (2015-16 to 2018-19), Columbus Blue Jackets (2014-15 to 2015-16) and Dallas Stars (2013-14 to 2014-15), recording 76 points (27-49-76).
Additionally, forward Owen Tippett has been loaned to Florida's Taxi Squad, forward Grigori Denisenko has been reassigned from the Syracuse Crunch (AHL) to Florida's Taxi Squad and defenseman Markus Nutivaara has been placed on injured reserve.
Tippett, 22, has appeared in 14 games with Florida, producing three points (1-2-3). The 6-foot-1, 207-pound native of Peterborough, Ontario was originally selected by Florida in the first round (10th overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft.
Denisenko, 20, has appeared in four AHL games with Syracuse, producing three points (2-1-3). The 5-foot-11, 186-pound native of Novosibirsk, Russia was originally selected by Florida in the first round (15th overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft.
