SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations Dale Tallonannounced today that the Panthers have reduced their training camp roster to 35 players.
The Panthers assigned eight players to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds - forwards Chase Balisy, Graham Black and Juho Lammikko defensemen Josh Brown, Michael Downing and Linus Hultstrom, and goaltenders Sam Brittain and Colin Stevens.
Forwards Rihards Bukarts, Anthony Greco and Zac Lynch and defenseman Ed Wittchowhave been released from their tryout contracts and will report to Springfield's training camp.
Defensemen Jonathan Racine and Brent Regnerand goaltender Mike McKennahave been placed on waivers and upon clearing waivers will report to Springfield.
Goaltender Sam Montembeaulthas been assigned to his Quebec Major Junior Hockey League team, the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada.
Forward Justin Fontaine, Ryan Horvat and Stephen MacAulay have been released from their professional tryouts.
The Panthers will play their fourth game of the preseason as they travel to London, Ontario to face the Dallas Stars at Budweiser Gardens on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 3:00 p.m.
