Training Camp: Spencer Knight

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Spencer Knight would rather worry about stopping pucks than paperwork.
Taking that stance to heart, the 21-year-old goaltender got out ahead of some important business on Tuesday when he agreed to terms on a new three-year contract extension with the Florida Panthers.
"I'm still the same person I was yesterday," Knight smiled following Wednesday's practice at the Panthers IceDen. "I'm still going to be the same person. It's just nice to just come to the rink and not have to worry about that for a couple years. … We worked together. I thought it was a great process."

Heading into his second full season in the NHL after being selected with the 13th overall pick in 2019, Knight was slated to become a restricted free agent after his entry-level contract expired next summer.
