Over his last four starts, Bobrovsky has gone 3-1-0 with a .957 save percentage.
"It's huge to have a goalie like that playing on the level he is," Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov said. "It's amazing. We're all really confident playing in front of him."
Getting the home crowd fired up and into the action early, Ryan Lomberg, who was flying up and down the ice all game, opened the scoring when he took a pass from Josh Mahura and snapped a shot past Adin Hill from the high slot to put the Panthers on top 1-0 at 4:25 of the first period.
"It's a big game," said Lomberg, who matched his career with his ninth goal of the season. "There's no doubt in this room that every guy's going to show up. It's no surprise that the guys came ready to play."
Doubling the lead in the second period, the Panthers struck again when Barkov took a sweet pass from Anthony Duclair and beat Hill with a far-side shot from in close to make it 2-0 at 4:05.
With the secondary assist on the goal, Cousins recorded the 100th helper of his NHL career.
"My focus the last 17 games is more about the team," Cousins said. "Getting in the playoffs is the main goal. All that personal stuff will come with it, but nice to get that one out of the way."
After the Panthers were whistled for a too-many-men penalty, the Knights got on the board when Shea Theodore blasted a shot through traffic on the power play to make it 2-1 at 13:23.
In the third period, Bobrovsky stopped all 10 shots he faced to lock in the win.
"The game gets tight," Panthers head coach Paul Maurice said of the final 20 minutes. "They're a good team and they're going to turn it up. I thought we handled it physically in the third period. We had a bunch of guys have big third periods. Eetu Luostarinen along walls and on pucks, he was outstanding tonight."
