POSTCARD: Ekblad checks in after series-clinching win in Toronto

Hey Panthers fans,

We're all really tired, but also really excited right now.

I didn't get the best sleep last night, but that's probably just because of all of the adrenaline. We're heading back home, so the goal for today is really just to relax and find ways to recover.

Last night was pretty special.

After the handshake line was done, I think it was Radko that said, 'Look around. Take it in.' It was a cool moment. I just wanted to enjoy it. Staring around the arena in that moment was special.

Obviously, Barky and I have been with this organization for a long time. I wouldn't say that we've been waiting for a playoff run like this -- we've been working for it. It's been a long time coming.

But we haven't accomplished our goal yet. Winning our first series last year was great, and winning two series so far this year is really just another step in the right direction.

For myself, I feel good. It's always a grind and it's always a challenge in the playoffs. As we look ahead to the next series, what I've learned from all of this is that nothing's the same. Nothing was remotely the same going from the Boston to the Toronto series, and I expect everything to be different again against Carolina.

I also want to say thank you to our fans.

You've stuck behind us and given us that extra push in these playoffs.

We'll be buzzing for Game 1.
