Denver-Championship

Jack Devine just doubled his ring total.

Winning his second NCAA championship in the last three seasons, Florida Panthers prospect Jack Devine helped Denver secure a 2-0 win over Boston College on Saturday.

Jared Wright and Rieger Lorenz both scored for the Pioneers in the second period, while goaltender Matt Davis, who was named the tournament’s top player, stopped all 23 shots he faced.

Denver’s top-line right winger, Devine fired off three shots on goal in the win.

Selected by the Panthers in the seventh round of the 2022 NHL Draft, Devine, who’s still just 20 years old, previously helped the Pioneers win an NCAA title as a freshman in 2022.

Coming into his own during an outstanding junior campaign, Devine led Denver and ranked fourth in the nation with a career-high 27 goals. Named a top-10 finalist for the Hobey Baker Award, the Glencoe, Illinois native also led the team with 56 points in just 43 games.

With tonight’s win, Denver has now won an NCAA record 10 championships.

Congrats, Jack!
