That gave the Penguins perfect attendance for the first time this season, as the rest of the injured players - fellow netminder Tristan Jarry (upper-body, one game missed); forwards Brandon Tanev (upper-body, 17 games missed) and Evan Rodrigues (lower-body, five games missed); and defenseman Mike Matheson (upper-body, four games missed) - were also present.
"Mike Matheson and Evan Rodrigues participated full capacity today. Tans as well," head coach Mike Sullivan said.
Matheson has been wearing a full cage since he resumed skating after getting struck in the face by a clearing attempt from Jarry on May 1 at Washington.
"I feel good…it's weird putting that cage back on, I haven't worn it since college (at BC)," Matheson admitted with a smile. "So a bit of an adjustment, but I've been feeling good."
