T he Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman David Warsofsky from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Goaltender Tristan Jarry has been re-assigned to WBS.
Warsofsky, 26, is the reigning AHL Player of the week after notching two goals, five assists and a plus-6 in four games last week, helping the league-leading WBS Penguins to four consecutive victories.
The 5-foot-9, 170-pound Warsofsky has already established a career high with seven goals, and has 21 assists for 28 points in 24 games for WBS. Warsofsky's point total is sixth most among AHL blueliners. He also leads the AHL in plus/minus (+22), and he owns an eight-game point streak (4G-11A-15PTS).
Earlier this year, Warsofsky played in four NHL games with Pittsburgh, tallying one assist.
