PERFECT PENALTY KILL - For a sixth straight game, the Rangers went perfect on the penalty kill (15-for-15), tying their season-long streak from Nov. 24-Dec. 7, 2021. Since April 1, the Blueshirts are one of three teams to have a perfect penalty kill (St. Louis, San Jose).
PUCKS ON NET - New York recorded 30 shots on goal, reaching the mark for the second-straight game and seventh time in its last 11 games.

  • Chris Kreider became the fourth player in Rangers history to score 50 goals in a single season, joining Jaromir Jagr (54G - 2005-06), Adam Graves (52G - 1993-94) and Vic Hadfield (50G - 1971-72). Kreider is the eighth player in NHL history to hit the 50-goal milestone for the first time in his 10th season or later and first since Dave Andreychuk (11 seasons) in 1992-93. Kreider is the fourth skater in league history to score 50 goals for the first time at 30 years or older (beginning of season), joining Joe Mullen, Vic Hadfield and Johnny Bucyk. Kreider is the 15th player in NHL history to record 50+ goals and 25+ power play goals in a season and first since Alex Ovechkin notched the feat in 2014-15. With the goal, Kreider tied Walt Tkaczuk for the 11th most goals in team history (227). Per NHL PR, the 2021-22 season is the fifth in NHL history to feature multiple U.S.-born 50-goal scorers, following 1991-92 (Kevin Stevens & Jeremy Roenick), 1992-93 (Stevens, Pat LaFontaine & Roenick), 1995-96 (John LeClair & Keith Tkachuk) and 1996-97 (Tkachuk & LeClair).
    - Mika Zibanejad assisted on the opening goal, notching his 75th point of the season and tying his career-high set in 2019-20. Zibanejad has four assists in his last three games and has tallied a point in 10 of his last 13 contests (2G-11A). Zibanejad is one of two centermen in the NHL (Aleksander Barkov) to have 75 or more points and a plus-30 or better rating.
    - K'Andre Miller scored his seventh goal of the season, giving him points in back-to-back games and three of his last five contests (1G-2A). Miller's goal was the 38th by a Rangers defenseman this season, tied for the sixth most in the NHL.
    - Andrew Copp extended his point streak to five games (2G-3A) with an assist. Copp has points in 11 of his last 12 games (4G-11A) and 10 of his 11 contests (4G-8A) with New York.
    - Frank Vatrano notched a point (A) for a third-straight game (1G-2A), has points in eight of his last 10 games (5G-4A) and has 10 points (6G-4A) in 12 games with the Rangers.
    - Ryan Strome earned his 31st assist of the season and has points in five of his last seven games (3G-2A).
