- Tonight, the Rangers played in UBS Arena for the first time ever. It marked the 88th unique venue the Rangers have played at least one game in (regular season or playoffs). UBS Arena is the fifth venue to host at least one "Battle of New York" contest following Madison Square Garden (161 GP), Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum (151 GP), Barclays Center (8 GP) and Yankee Stadium (1 GP). Those totals include regular season and playoffs.

  • Chris Kreider scored his team-leading 14th and 15th goals of the season, including his ninth on the power-play, tying Leon Draisaitl (EDM) for the most in the NHL. In franchise history, only Jaromir Jagr (10 PPG's - 2005-06) has more power-play goals through the first 19 games of a season than Kreider's nine. Kreider became the first Rangers player with 15 or more goals prior to his 20th game in a season since Marian Gaborik in 2009-10 (15G-12A in 19 GP).
  • Ryan Strome extended his point streak to seven games (1G-7A) with an assist on Kreider's goal. It is the third longest point streak of Strome's career behind the streak of 11 games from March 13-April 1, 2021 and his eight-game streak from Feb. 9-22, 2020.
  • Kevin Rooney registered his first career multi-goal game with his fourth and fifth goals of the season. Rooney's last goal before tonight was November 5 at Edmonton. Rooney's five goals are the second-most on the Rangers this season. Rooney's five goals are the third most he has recorded in a single season with his career-high of eight coming in 2020-21 (54 games).
  • Adam Fox took sole possession of the most assists among NHL defensemen with his 15th of the season. In the process, Fox tied Artemi Panarin for the most assists on New York. Only three teams in the NHL have two or more players with 15 or more assists (EDM - 3, WSH - 2). Fox's 15 assists through the first 19 games of the season are the most for a Ranger since Brian Leetch had 20 assists through 19 games in 2000-01.
  • Igor Shesterkin earned his 10th win of the season, becoming the third goaltender in the NHL this season with 10 or more wins. Shesterkin is the first Rangers goaltender since Henrik Lundqvist in 2015-16 to have 10 wins through the first 19 games of the team's season. Shesterkin has earned wins in five of his last six games. Shesterkin allowed one or fewer goals for the seventh time this season.
  • Kaapo Kakko established a new career-long point streak of five games (3G-3A) with an assist on Kreider's second goal. In each of his last six games, Kakko is a plus-1 or better.
  • Ryan Reaves notched his third-career multi-point game of his career with two assists, giving him three points in his last two games. Reaves' last multi-point game was on January 2, 2018 against Philadelphia while he was a Pittsburgh Penguin.
  • Mika Zibanejad recorded his 12th assist of the season and has points in four of his last six games (4A). Zibanejad is one point away from recording 300 points with the Rangers. - Barclay Goodrow found the scoresheet for the second game in a row and the third time in his last six games. Goodrow has three goals and six assists for nine points this season.
