WIN COLUMN - The Rangers won their second-straight contest and have won four of their last five games. New York has wins in nine of its last 13 games and has earned a point in 15 of its last 21 contests (14-6-1). Tonight was the Rangers' 42nd win, the fourth most in the NHL.
HOME COOKING - New York closed out its two-game stretch at home with its second straight home win and fifth in their last six games at MSG. At home, the Rangers have tallied a point in 10 of their last 12 home gams (9-2-1) and overall, their .758 home points percentage ranks fourth in the NHL. The Blueshirts have earned at least one point in 25 of 31 games at home this year and will play 10 of their remaining 16 games at MSG.
COMEBACK KINGS- For the league-leading 22nd time this season, the Rangers won in comeback fashion, tying their most in a single campaign in franchise history (2010-11 and 1991-92).
WALKING IT OFF - The Rangers improved to 3-3 in overtimes and have won their last two games in the extra session.
GOALS GALORE - The Rangers scored four-plus goals for a third straight game (14 goals in past three) and have notched 30 goals in their last eight games. Since March 12, New York's 30 goals are tied for the third most in the NHL.
SABRES SWEEP - The Blueshirts won their fifth-straight game against the Sabres and extended their point streak against them to 10-straight (9-0-1), the club's longest active run against one opponent.
SOMEWHERE OVER THE ATLANTIC - New York improved to 16-2-1 against the Atlantic Division and 26-8-1 against Eastern Conference opponents.
SUNDAY FUNDAY - The Blueshirts improved to 9-2-0 in Sunday games this season.
FIRING FIRST - For a second straight game, the Rangers scored two-plus goals in the first five minutes of the game, tonight notching two goals in the first 4:17 of play. In the last three games, the Rangers have scored seven first period goals. New York improved to 27-4-2 when scoring first and 20-4-0 when bringing a lead into the second period.

  • Frank Vatrano scored two goals, 18 seconds apart in the first to give the Rangers a 2-0 lead. Vatrano's goals were fastest two goals by a Rangers player since Jaromir Jagr on Nov. 12, 2005 (0:15). He has four goals in his past four games.
    - Alexis Lafrenière extended his point streak to six games (2G-4A) with his 15th goal of the season and later an assist in overtime. Lafrenière is the third Ranger under-21 since 2000-01 to record a point streak of six or more games, joining Pavel Buchnevich (8 GP - Nov. 5, 2016-Jan. 19, 2017) and Derek Stepan (6 GP - Nov. 17-26, 2010). His 15 goals are tied for the fourth most on the Rangers. Tonight was his fourth multi-point game of the season.
    - K'Andre Miller scored his first career overtime goal, notching his second game-winning goal of the season and third of his career.
    - Andrew Copp registered a point (2A) for a third-straight game with the Rangers, two of them being multi-point games. The last skater to start his tenure with New York on a longer point streak was Carl Hagelin (4 GP) in 2011-12. Copp has seven multi-assist games on the year and 10 contests with multiple points.
    - Chris Kreider extended his point streak to four games (4G-3A) and has six points in his last three games (3G-3A). His 62 points this season (44G-18A) are the fourth most on the Rangers.
    - Artemi Panarin scored his 17th goal of the season, giving him 12 points (2G-10A) in his last eight games and points in nine of his last 11 games (2G-14A). At home, Panarin leads the Rangers with 36 points (6G-30A) and has at least one point in 19 of his 28 home contests.
    - Jacob Trouba tallied an assist to go with his plus-2 rating. Trouba has points in four of his last six games (1G-2A) and his 33 points this year (10G-23A) are tied for the second most in his career.
    - Filip Chytil, with his 12th assist on the season tonight, ties his second most assists in a single season for his career (2018-19), and is two away from his career high (14). Chytil logged 16:21 minutes of ice time, the most since Oct. 18 at TOR (17:01).
    - Jonny Brodzinski tallied an assist tonight, his first since Nov. 1, 2019 vs WPG. Brodzinski went two for three on faceoffs tonight for a 66.7 faceoff percentage.
