WIN-DY CITY - The Rangers improved to 17-4-3 for 37 points through their first 24 games of the season, their most wins through 24 games in team history and tied for the second most points (1931-32) through 24 games in franchise history. The Rangers extended their winning streak to a season-long seven games and have notched wins in 11 of their last 12 games. Additionally, New York has points in 14 of its last 16 games (12-2-2). The Blueshirts' win streak is their longest since winning nine-straight from October 25-Novemeber 15, 2015.
ROAD WARRIORS - The Blueshirts won their ninth road game of the season, the third-most in the league and have 20 road points, also the third-most in the NHL. The Rangers have won three-straight on the road and four of their last five away from MSG. The Rangers' nine road wins and 20 road points are the most through 24 games in franchise history.
FEELIN' STRONGER EVERY DAY - The Rangers have registered a power-play goal in six of their last seven games and have 17 on the season, tied for the sixth-most in the league. Since Nov. 21, New York's seven power play goals are the third-most in the NHL. The Rangers rank eighth in the league with a 24.3 power-play percentage (17-for-70) over the course of the season. In games when scoring a goal on the man advantage this season, New York improved to 11-1-2.
THE KILLERS - The Rangers killed off all four Chicago power-play opportunities tonight, improving to 19-for-19 on the penalty kill in their last six games. This season, the Rangers' 83.3 PK percentage is 10th in the NHL.
GOALS GALORE - The Rangers set a season-high with six goals, surpassing their mark of five goals set four times this season. In their last three road games, the Rangers have combined to score 15 goals. New York scored four third-period goals for the first time this season.
DAZZLING IN DECEMBER - New York improved to 4-0-0 to begin the month of December, their best stretch to start the final month of the year since 1998-99. The Rangers have never won five in a row to begin the month of December.
ANY SECOND NOW- The Blueshirts scored the lone goal in the second period tonight and have scored a second-period goal in six of their last seven games and nine of their last 15 games.
BEGINNINGS- The Rangers scored first for the 13th time this season and won their 11th game when scoring first, tied for the fifth best mark in the league. With a goal 1:01 into the first period, tonight was the second time New York scored in the first two minutes of a game this season (Filip Chytil at EDM, Nov. 5 - 1:53).

  • Artemi Panarin recorded his 13th career four-point game (2G-2A) and with an assist on the Rangers' first goal, Panarin earned his 500th career NHL point in his 457th career game. Panarin is the 49th player in NHL history to record 500 points in 457 or fewer games and the fifth active player to do so (Connor McDavid - 369 GP, Sidney Crosby - 369 GP, Alex Ovechkin - 373 GP, Evgeni Malkin - 413 GP). Since the 2015-16 season, Panarin is one of five players to notch 500 points in that span (McDavid, Kane, Draisaitl, Marchand). Per NHL Stats and Info, Panarin required the sixth-fewest games among undrafted players to reach 500 career points (for those who debuted in 1963-64 onward, following the first NHL Draft). He trails only Wayne Gretzky (234 GP), Peter Stastny (322 GP), Bobby Orr (396 GP), Joe Mullen (446 GP) and Adam Oates (456 GP). Additionally, Panarin is the 21st Russian-born skater to tally 500 points in the NHL. Panarin, the Rangers' team-leader in points with 30, has five goals and nine assists for 14 points in his last seven games. Panarin has recorded three or more points in four games this season and tonight was Panarin's ninth multi-point game of the season. Since 2019-20, Panarin's 56 multi-point games are the third most in the league behind McDavid (73) and Draisaitl (71).
    - Chris Kreider scored his 17th goal of the season and 10th on the power-play, the second-most in the NHL Kreider is one of three players in team history to scored 10 or more power-play goals in the first 24 games of a season, joining Jaromir Jagr (2005-06 - 11) and Marcel Dionne (1987-88 - 12).
    - Jacob Trouba scored his fourth goal in the past seven games and has recorded at least one point in five of his last seven games (4G-2A). Tonight was Trouba's second multi-point game of the season (1G-1A) and first since Nov. 13 at CBJ. Since Nov. 21, Trouba's four goals are the third most in the NHL among defensemen. His five goals this season are tied for the eighth-most among NHL defensemen. Trouba also delivered a career-high eight hits.
    - Ryan Strome notched a point in a third-straight game (2G-2A) and has a point in 11 of his last 12 games (4G-10A). Among Rangers, Strome has the fourth-most assists (13) and fifth-most points (18).
    - Mika Zibanejad notched two assists, giving him four assists in his last four games and six assists in his last seven games. Zibanejad is the third Ranger (Fox, Panarin) to notch 16 or more assists this season and New York is one of three teams (COL, EDM, WSH) with three or more players with 16-plus assists. Zibanejad also became the fourth Ranger to notch 20 points this season, making New York one of five teams with four or more 20-point getters this season.
    - Adam Fox extended his assist streak to seven games, with his two-assist game, the longest active assist streak in the NHL. Fox's 27 points and 22 assists are tied with Victor Hedman for the most among NHL defensemen. Tonight was Fox's seventh multi-point game of the season, tied with Cale Makar for the most among d-men this season. Fox has tallied a point in 15 of the Rangers' 17 wins (15-1-3 in games he has a point). Fox is one of three defensemen in franchise history (Leetch, Park) to record 27 or more points in the first 24 games of a season. Additionally, Fox blocked six shots tonight, tied for his most this season.
    - Kevin Rooney scored his sixth goal of the season, the third most on New York, and recorded his second multi-point game of the season (1G-1A). Five of Rooney's six goals have been scored on the road this season.
    - Alexandar Georgiev and improved to 4-1-1 on the season and has allowed two or fewer goals in three starts this season.
    - Ryan Reaves recorded his fourth career multi-point game (2A) and second of the season (Nov. 24 at NYI).
