FOLLOWING A TREND - The Rangers won their fourth game of the season. In all four wins, the Blueshirts have allowed one goal and in three of four wins the team has won by two or more goals. ROAD GEM - The Rangers improved to 3-1-0 on the road this season as they played the second game of their season-long five game road trip. The Blueshirts tallied three goals in the win, bringing their season total on the road to 15, the third most in the NHL.

TAKING ADVANTAGE - New York scored twice on the power play, giving it power play goals in five of its first six games. The Rangers’ six power play goals rank tied for seventh in the NHL. BLOCKING OUT - The Rangers blocked a season-high 24 shots, the most since March 9, 2023 against Montreal (24 BS).

SECOND PERIOD SUCCESS - Through the first four games of the season, the Rangers tallied a combined two goals in the second period. Over the last two contests, the Blueshirts have five goals in the second frame (3 in CGY, 2 in SEA).

  • Chris Kreider scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season and NHL-high tying third power play goal. It is Kreider’s 95th career power play goal, and now sits five away from becoming the fifth player in franchise history to reach 100 PPGs. He needs two goals to tie Andy Bathgate for the fourth most goals in team history (272).
  • Artemi Panarin recorded his fifth assist of the season. Panarin has recorded a point in each
    of New York’s first six games to start the season for the second straight year (also 6 GP in 2022-23). The only other players in Rangers franchise history to record a streak of six or more games multiple times are Andy Bathgate (6 GP in 1960-61& 8 GP in 1961-62) and Rod Gilbert (14 GP in 1972- 73, 9 GP in 1971-72 & 6 GP in 1975-76).
  • Adam Fox earned his fifth assist of the season, tied for the third most among NHL defensemen and his fifth power play point, tied for the second most among league d-men. Fox had the second most ice time of any Ranger tonight (22:16).
  • Filip Chytil earned two assists to give him a team-high six on the year and five in his last two games.
  • Alexis Lafreniere scored his third goal of the season, the second most on the Rangers. Lafreniere’s tally was the 50th of his career and fourth on the power play.
  • Igor Shesterkin earned his third win of the season and second on the road. Since the 2021-22 season, Shesterkin leads the NHL with 76 wins and tonight was the 40th time in that span he’s allowed one or fewer goals in a game.
  • Erik Gustafsson tallied his second multi-point game (1G-1A) of the season in the win.
  • K’Andre Miller registered his fourth assist of the year and third in the past two games.
