McLeod, 33, has skated in 713 career NHL games over parts of 11 seasons (2007-08 - 2017-18) with Colorado and Nashville, registering 71 goals and 53 assists for 124 points, along with 1,524 penalty minutes. He registered at least 150 hits in five of his first 10 NHL seasons, and he ranked sixth in the NHL with a career-high, 268 hits during the 2014-15 season with the Avalanche. McLeod also recorded at least 100 penalty minutes in nine of his first 10 NHL seasons, and the only season in which he did not register 100 or more penalty minutes was 2012-13 (48-game schedule). He established career-highs in goals (15) and points (20) with Colorado during the 2008-09 season. McLeod has also skated in 38 career NHL playoff games, and he played in 15 games during the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs while helping the Predators advance to the Stanley Cup Final.
The 6-2, 210-pounder has skated in 23 games with Nashville this season, registering one goal and one assist for two points, along with 72 penalty minutes. McLeod ranked second on the Predators in penalty minutes and ranked third on the team in hits per game (2.4; 55 hits in 23 games) thus far in 2017-18. He skated in his 700th career NHL game on Nov. 3 at Anaheim.
