Ahead of the 2024-25 Detroit Red Wings season, we are excited to announce the audition process for the Red Wings Drumline. After another exciting season as part of the soundtrack in Hockeytown, the Red Wings Drumline will continue to be a fixture at Wings home games, community and special events in metro Detroit year-round.

We're looking for talented drummers who perform both physically as well as musically and demonstrate an outgoing personality that will entertain and engage the best fans in hockey. Please keep this in mind as you prepare for your audition. If interested, submit all required information as outlined below.

Virtual Audition

Record an audition video adhering to the instructions below:

• Video must include the following exercises:
  • "Roll Exercise" - Three reps (1st at 156, 2nd at 188 & 3rd at 212)
  • TA 22" - Two reps (1st at 120 & 2nd at 136)
  • Red Wings Drumline Audition Piece (sheet music can be found here)
  • Applicant's Choice - Perform a selection of your choosing that you feel best represents your abilities and what you can bring to the Red Wings Drumline
• Your video should be framed to include your entire drum/cymbals, upper body and face.
• Final video should be uploaded to Vimeo or YouTube, with a working unlisted URL to be included in the application below.

Applications will be accepted through 5pm on Wednesday, August 21.

The Detroit Red Wings Game Presentation team will review all applications as they’re submitted. Candidates that are selected to move forward to the audition phase will receive a formal invitation from a DRW Game Presentation member and/or the DRW Drumline Director no later than Friday, August 23.
