CALGARY - As the Detroit Red Wings look to push their winning streak to a season-high five games on Thursday night against the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome, captain Dylan Larkin will also be aiming to extend an impressive streak of his own.

Larkin has scored goals in four straight games for the Red Wings, including the first tally in Wednesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Edmonton Oilers. On the season, Larkin leads Detroit in points (52), goals (21) and assists (31).
"He's just got some jump right now," Red Wings head coach Derek Lalonde said about Larkin, who has potted the game-opening goal in three consecutive games. "He's playing at a high level. I think some of the recent success has the guys excited. I think they feel that they are pushing for something and obviously, we have something to play for. It gives you a little bit extra and he's a perfect example of it."
Puck drop between Detroit (25-20-8; 58 points) and Calgary (25-18-11; 61 points) is set for 9 p.m. ET/7 p.m. MT, with broadcast coverage on Bally Sports Detroit and the Red Wings Radio Network (97.1 The Ticket in Detroit).

Thursday's game marks the second half of a midweek back-to-back for Detroit, which now sits just four points behind the Washington Capitals for the second and final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference.
Riding the wave of a four-game winning streak, Robby Fabbri said the Red Wings are playing with a sense of confidence and "must jump on this now and keep this going."
"We're just playing the same game and to our identity," said Fabbri, who tallied a power-play goal and added an assist against the Oilers for his second straight multi-point game. "We're just getting the results now, which helps the confidence of everyone individually and as a team."
