Husso stopped all 26 shots he faced for his third shutout of his debut season in Detroit.
Captain Dylan Larkin got the Red Wings on the scoreboard just over four minutes into the second period, while defenseman Filip Hronek extended Detroit's lead to 2-0 with a power-play goal in the 14th minute of the frame. Michael Rasmussen completed the game's scoring with an empty net goal with just 21 seconds remaining in the third period.
The Red Wings' special teams kept the game scoreless by killing a trio of penalties in the pivotal second period, including a 5-on-3 advantage for Nashville that came up empty.
"I only care about the wins," Husso told Bally Sports Detroit's Trevor Thompson in his postgame interview. "The guys played unbelievable today. Amazing 5-on-3 kill, that gives a lot of energy for us. I think we are on a good track right now, and we still - there is a lot of things that we can be better, but the work that we do every day, it is at a good level right now."
Detroit won its third straight game in regulation, and upped its record to 10-5-4 (24 points) on the season, including a 6-2-2 mark at Little Caesars Arena. Nashville dropped to 9-9-2 overall.
