RECAP: Red Wings fall behind early in 5-1 loss to Bruins

BOSTON --The Detroit Red Wings fell to the Boston Bruins, 5-1, on Thursday night at TD Garden.

Adam Erne scored the lone goal for the Red Wings in the second period, who trailed, 2-1, after 40 minutes. The Bruins put the game out of reach in the third, finding the back of the net three times in a 1:39-span.
"A couple decent periods there against a very good team," Ben Chiarot said. "A tough building to come into. In the third period, I think you saw a little bit of experience on that side versus a little bit of the inexperience on our side."
Ville Husso made 28 saves in his fourth start of the season for Detroit (3-2-2; 8 points), which dropped its second straight game.
Matt Luff, who was recalled from the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins on Thursday morning, logged 8:45 of ice time against Boston.
