The line of Connor Brown, Shane Pinto and Tim Stützle dominated the Winnipeg Jets Saturday night in a 4-2 win.

The three players combined for eight points with Stützle bagging a hat trick, Brown scoring once and adding two assists while Pinto added two helpers too.
"I love playing with those two kids," Brown said. "They're smart, want the puck. Pinto is a really responsible player for a young kid. He wins his battles and when you get to play with a guy like Timmy, if I can do some things to get him time and space with the puck, he makes the magic happen.
"I think we have some chemistry coming on there and it was nice to capitalize on our chances."
Despite only being assembled together recently, head coach D.J. Smith has been pleased with his newfound line.
"They've been really good here of late," Smith said. "A lot of teams are obviously going to hone in on the Norris line and if that line can keep bringing it, it makes it a little bit harder for other teams to match."
The line consists of two players (Pinto and Stützle) who have a combined 61 NHL games while Brown, the veteran if you will, has 377 games to his name and with that experience, it's rubbing off on the two rookies.
"Those two guys are great players and I really enjoy playing with them," Stützle said. "We try to make plays all over the ice all the time and it's been a lot of fun. We talk after every shift to try and get better and Brown has been great for me and helps me out a lot."
Stützle becomes youngest Senator to score hat trick
He secured it with an empty-net goal just before time expired, but with his third goal Saturday with six seconds left on the clock, Stützle became the youngest Senator to score three times in a game at aged 19 and 113 days.
"Tim is just an elite player," Brown said. "I think you're going to see more and more of it. He's got elite level talent. He's doing things to get the puck with a little bit more time and when you have that much skill and a brain like Timmy, you get some time, he's going to make good plays and that's what's been happening."
The German bested Martin Havlat's previous record of 19 years and 329 days to write his name into the team's record books. His first goal last night was also the 10th of his NHL career as he became just the fourth teenager in franchise history to score 10 plus goals in a season after Alexandre Daigle (23 goals),
Brady Tkachuk
(22) and Havlat (19).
"He beat me to his first career hat trick and I've been in the league a couple years longer so it didn't take him too long," Brown joked post-game. "I'm sure it won't be his last."
Brown gets to 20-goal mark
At 10:13 of the first period last night, Brown tipped in Victor Mete's point shot to reach the 20-goal plateau for the second time in his career.
"A couple of years there, I wasn't sure I'd be able to get my production back," Brown said. "To be able to find that offence again, and even a new level of offence, has been satisfying, fun and [I'm] excited to keep it going and keep getting better and keep building and I'm excited to do it with this team."
Brown buried 20 goals in his rookie campaign with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2015-16 but the closest he got to that marker again was the 16 he scored last year.
Over the last decade, 17 different Senators have scored 20 plus goals in a season.
"Twenty goals in a shortened season is special for a guy who hasn't scored in that range," Smith said. "That's phenomenal for him.
"He's confident, he's looking to make plays, he's skating real well. It's probably the best he's played in the National Hockey League."
