Zack MacEwen Agreed to Terms Article

The Ottawa Senators announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward, Zack MacEwen to a three-year deal.

The Senators have added another piece to their forward core, agreeing to terms with forward, Zack MacEwen on a three-year deal with an AAV of $775,000.

MacEwen is a five year veteran of the league, having spent time with Vancouver, Philadelphia and most recently the LA Kings. In 186 NHL games, he has scored 13 goals and added 15 assists for 28 career points. Last season was a career best for him setting career highs in goals (4) and points (10) while tying his career high in assists (6).

Across his six professional seasons between the NHL and AHL, MacEwen has built a reputation for being a physical player with great character. He should be a quality role player for the next few seasons for the Senators and should add to their physicality.

MacEwen's addtion gives the Senators a reliable replacement for Austin Watson in their bottom six forwards; a high energy player that grinds every night and stands up for teammates. With his signing we're beginning to flesh out what the Senators bottom six forward core will look like next season.
