The Ottawa Senators hosted the team’s inter-squad game in Gatineau today at the Centre Slush Puppie. The day began early as players arrived at the arena via red carpet, where fans had the opportunity to get autographs and pictures with their favourite Sens.

Outside, inflatables, facepainting, and games were available for attendees to enjoy all morning while they waited for players to hit the ice. Inside, fans were treated to an interview with Senators Senior Advisor to the Coaching Staff Jacques Martin hosted by Director, Communications Sylvain St-Laurent.

Prior to the inter-squad game, Team Black's players took to the ice for their practice of the day, which was followed by a pre-game warm up for Team White.

The game was played in two 20-minute periods and kicked off with a goal by forward Stephen Halliday to put Team White up 1-0 in the first. Team Black battled back and tied the game 1-1 not long after off a goal from forward Ridly Greig. In no time, Team White regained the lead on a penalty shot goal from Noah Gregor to close out the first period 2-1.

Team White widened their lead shortly into the second period when defenceman Carter Yakemchuk scored. To close out the game, Drake Batherson scored a fourth goal that saw Team White emerge victorious 4-1 over Team Black.

Post-game, Team White's players stayed on the ice for their practice of the day.
