OTTAWA - The
Ottawa Senators
announced today that the team has signed forward J.C. Beaudin to a one-year, two-way contract. The agreement holds a value $700,000 in the National Hockey League and $80,000 in the American Hockey League.

A native of Longueuil, Que., Beaudin, 23, was one of four players to make his NHL debut with the Senators in 2019-20. He skated in 22 NHL contests over a span of five recalls to Ottawa, registering one point (one assist) and seven penalty minutes. He was limited to 13 games with the team's AHL affiliate, the Belleville Senators, primarily due to two injuries which saw him appear in only two contests after Jan. 11, and tallied six points (four goals, two assists) and two penalty minutes for the B-Sens.
"J.C. has established himself as a good depth player within the organization," said Senators general manager Pierre Dorion. "He made a great impression on the coaching staff both here and in Belleville and was deserving of the opportunities he received in Ottawa throughout last season. It's a trend we hope to see continue."
Selected by Colorado with the team's third-round pick (71st overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft, Beaudin was acquired by Ottawa via trade with the Avalanche on Feb. 6, 2019. In addition to the NHL experience that he accrued last season, he has tallied 29 points (13 goals, 16 assists) and 32 penalty minutes over 109 career AHL games with the San Antonio Rampage, the Colorado Eagles and Belleville.
